The Muhammadan Truth " is a term that has a central role in Ibn Arabi's mystical literature, and based on it, he has explained the special position of the existence of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as the first manifestation of Allah and the mediator of the existence of other creatures, and somehow, he is someone which has dealt with coherent theorizing about this concept.
However, the explanation of the position of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in the universe among the Sufis before Ibn Arabi is a precedent, and other Sufi thinkers have also pointed out this fact before him.
The main question of the research is what words were used to explain this truth before Ibn Arabi and what was the meaning of these words and how they explained them.
For this purpose, using a descriptive qualitative method, we have gone to the opinions of three Sufi thinkers before Ibn Arabi (Hakim al-Tirmidhi, Ain al-Qudhat Hamdani and Najm al-Din Razi) and have analyzed the content of their works in this regard.
The result is that each of these three thinkers dealt with this category with their own special method and approach and used keywords such as the Prophethood of the Great Spirit, Muhammad's Light, Muhammadan's Spirit, Muhammadan's Existence; Although the explanations are sometimes different among them; Almost all three of them have spoken closely about the true status and personality of the beloved Prophet (PBUH) and have used similar traditions for reference. Also, we come across a kind of semantic and explanatory development in this chapter, which progressed as it got closer to Ibn Arabi's era, and it seems that it had an influence on Ibn Arabi's thoughts and brought them to perfection.
